I thought we could start this week with a meal plan menu. I usually make a weekly meal plan, and Org Junkie hosts a "Menu Plan Monday" every week, so I thought I'd join in! There are several gluten-free bloggers who also share their weekly menu plans. This is a great way to see an incredible variety of gluten-free dishes! Just when you couldn't think of anything to make for dinner, trust these folks to have some delicious gluten-free meals for you to plan and make: Gluten-free Mommy, Book of Yum, and GFCF Mommy.
After spending an incredibly relaxing weekend on the Outer Banks and Ocracoke Island, I have several beach-fare recipes this week that I can't wait to try and share with you! What can I say... I'm a sucker for local cookbooks, and I bought two on our trip. We had dinner on saturday night at Cafe' Atlantic on Ocracoke Island. Cafe' Atlantic is my favorite restaurant on the island. The food (especially their seafood) is exceptionally tasty, beautifully presented, and reasonably priced. If you ever get a chance to visit the island, make sure to stop one evening at Cafe' Atlantic, for the wonderful atmosphere and the incredible food (and buy the cookbook afterwards, so you can make all their extrordinary dishes once you get back home!)
