This Week's Menu (Dec 10th - 17th)

Gluten Free Menu Swap Monday

Hello everyone! The Gluten-Free Menu Swap will be on hiatus until January. Many bloggers are traveling, busy with holiday activities, and just swamped in general. I will still be posting my weekly menu, but it will only be a suggestion at best!

What does your family do for meals during this busy season? I'd love for you to share your thoughts in the comments below!

This week will be busy for us as we will be preparing to host a neighborhood cookie swap on Friday! I'll be posting 2 cookie recipes this week, along with a BIG GLUTEN FREE Christmas Cookie Recipe Roundup next Monday, December 17th. If you would have any cookies you would like included, please email me at gingerlemon_girl(at)yahoo(dot)com. If you have recipes that you don't have posted on a blog, simply send me the recipe and a picture (if you have one) and I'll be glad to post them with the roundup!! I look forward to hearing from all of you!

  1. Hey there! I just don't get around to posting my menu, one of these days I'll have time to spare! Yeah, right.

  2. zqtgyqqpI need to make it my new years resolution to start meal planning after the first of the year. You and Natalie inspire me but I still don't seem to get around to it.

What a handsome family. I love it when everyone posts pictures of their families. Makes it feel like your the family next door.

    Hugs.

  3. I have always relied upon hearty soups and slow cooker meals when things get hectic. This year meals will need a bit of tweaking, but that's what I come here for!

BTW, loooove the cats. I'll have to put mine up, too.

  4. I have to laugh (at myself) because my meal planning consists of opening the fridge right before I have to start cooking to see what's in it. Then come up with a plan!

Gosh when I was young I was really good at planning meals and having schedules. Seems like the older I get the less organized with meal planning I am. I tend to go to the grocery and buy what looks good without a clue how I will use it! Maybe I can get organized again?

  6. I don't think I've ever planned a week's menu, though have really wanted to. Maybe it can be a new year's resolution (right behind cleaning the house and losing weight). Unfortunately, all the cookies I have planned to make don't fit into any of those resolutions!

  7. Krista -- I saw those awesome cookies chic!! I they look wonderful! They will definitely be in the roundup!!

Lea Ray -- thanks girl! You know what's funny is I have a neighbor that looks a lot like you! ;-)

Rose -- I need to pull out my slow cooker more often! I've never really liked much of the stuff I've made in the SC... it always tastes overcooked to me! Maybe you could come up with some good GF slow cooker meals for us!!

GLUTI GIRL - Organization has it's good points, but rarely do I eat the meals planned exactly the way they are. Basically I just know what ingredients I have for 5 meals a week and really we never seem to eat them on the day they are posted! I just like knowing I have the stuff for 5 different options of meals a week! ;-) (Of course Wendy's usually sneaks in there at least once a week! LOL)

Candi -- Thanks girl!! I'm hoping i'll get at least 2 cookie recipes up this week! It's been a crazy week so far!

Cassandra -- GIRL... I know exactly how you feel! That's why i'm making these cookies and then giving them all away (or at least most of them!) But don't worry, I'll sneak a few of them in!!
